The kids felt bad that we waited so long to tell the Elf about Valentines so they decided to give him a head start for St. Patricks. day. After the kid’s quick explanation about St. Patrick’s day and Leprechauns, his eyes widened and that mischievous smile returned. He quickly started scouring the internet for photos and stories to learn more about this new holiday that had just been revealed to him. The next day I caught him giggling and nodding his head as he read a detailed description about Leprechauns from a book he had gotten at the library. As he giggled I couldn’t help but notice his finger pointing to a specific word on the page. The word “mischievous” glared back at me. My heart started pumping faster as I recalled the mischievous activity the elf had taken part in last Christmas. How could I have forgotten that like elves, these leprechauns also partake in troublesome activities? I had led the elf to the very thing I had thought I had been freed from. Planning for uncertain events I’ve decided to keep track of the “Leprechauns” daily activities in this blog post. I will continue to add days to this post until the Elf decides to return back to his semi-civilian ways.
Some of you have been asking me what camera I use to get these photos To learn more about my camera CLICK HERE
Day 1: I have no idea what these two have planned for March but they sure have been spending a lot of time in the sewing room. They’ve asked me to slide sandwiches and pixy sticks under the door for the past three days but today I managed to snap this photo before they noticed me. I should probably supervise this but as long as they are not running with the scissors Im good.
Day 2: We just sat down to breakfast when the doorbell rang. Apparently he wanted to make an official entrance as a leprechaun. Im not sure if the beard is real, every time I try to touch it he kicks me in the shins. Looks like it’s time to start sleeping with one eye open again.
Day 3: Yesterday he told me our family wasn’t “green” friendly…I thought he was referring to environmentally.
Day 4: When I opened the door he told me to calm down because he had already run one load with green paint and it turned out fine.
Day 5: Tonight he “surprised” me by modifying my Air Jordan’s! He said the improvement would help me “bring my A-game.”
Day 6: I think he is a little worried that the kids might steal his gold. I didn’t have the heart to tell him they were just chocolates.
Day 7: As part of the Leprechaun’s “Green Initiative” he is only eating green food. He was very confused as he tried broccoli for the first time. After licking it like a candy cane for ten minutes I decided to tell him that it needed to be chewed and swallowed.
Day 8: I’m going to need his pot of gold to pay someone to remove this paint!
Day 9: He hasn’t quite perfected his Irish accent. It sounds like a mix between Yoda and Alvin the Chipmunk. I got a kick out of hearing him tell Nik, “Don’t be messing with me pot of gold!” every time he passed him hanging on the wall.
Day 10: Once he found out the coins had chocolate inside them it was game over. Happy St. Paddy’s Day from our family! Who knows what this little guy will be up to next.
