California you evil temptress! We spent more time in California than we originally planned which only gave us one day in New Port. This was bad for two reasons, – we didn’t have time to go crabbing, and two – this is one of Nikki’s most favoriteist (<- not a real word) places to visit. I am partially to blame because I wanted to stay longer in San Fran so we could visit Lucas Films so I owe her big time. We did make the best of our stay and found a nice RV park near the ocean called Pacific Shores. The park was super clean and the hosts were super friendly. Not the best place though if you have kids, I did get a vibe from the RV neighbors that they weren’t excited to have little munchkins running a muck.
Nikki’s favorite thing to do in New Port is to go and watch the Sea Lions. I would have to say this is my least favorite thing to do because I can not stand the smell, which is funny because Nikki can not stand the smell of fish – she hates seafood but does not mind standing for 30 minutes to watch the Sea Lions which smell of something not of this earth. I still love her though despite our Sea Lion differences.
So far on this trip, The Crazy Norwegians restaurant in Port Orford had the best fish and chips in Oregon (I’m serious when I say the best check out the previous post about portion size) so we had to see if New Port could claim the crown for best fish and chips (watch the post up top for the review).
The best thing happened today, Wil tried fish for the first time and liked it! I can honestly say I was worried that he would not like fish and our sushi bro nights would be in jeopardy of not happening in the future.
