We have had the opportunity of meeting so many amazing families through social media in the Down Syndrome community. Some of these families we hope to meet personally very soon (project post coming), one of which is the Lara family. They brought home Sunflower Mae in June 2013 and have done a beautiful job of sharing that perfect story. We wanted to share this because: 1. she is awesome like our Wil, 2. their adoption story touched our hearts and reminded us of the day Gracie officially became ours, and 3. we just think this family is great. Go give this a watch and make sure you bring plenty of tissues.
I share care-giving responsibilities with my three sisters to our brother who is 61 years old and has DS. It’s been a wonderful ride. Thanks for sharing your photos and story.
