We couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas this year. Snow on the ground, a warm fire, and healthy kids. Zac told me it was the best Christmas ever, he says that every year but it still makes me happy to hear. The other great thing about Christmas this year was the fact that we got to spend the entire day at home. I love my extended family and all, but laying around in your pj’s all day taking mini naps, and eating your own weight in junk food is equally as lovable.
Every Christmas Eve for the past 3 years I’ve made a “Christmas Questions” video with the kids. In this video, I ask the kids specific questions related to the magic of Christmas. It’s interesting to see their answers change over the years. Their ideas of how Santa comes down the chimney, how reindeer fly, and where elves come from slowly go from magical to practical. I guess it’s to be expected but I can’t help but get a little emotional as I see their Christmas spirit fade. I never want the magic to end and so we have decided to keep having babies…okay no. But we do have a few more years of Christmas magic and who knows, maybe Wil will always believe.
Merry Christmas from the Lawrence Family!
