Last night I was checking on our baby before going to bed and noticed faint flashes of light illuminating his curtains. I peeked my head out in curiosity and noticed a silent lightning storm approaching The pride I had felt early for actually finding myself going to bed at a decent hour vanished as I scrambled for camera gear and ran out into the field in front of our house. Surprisingly I only saw one lightning bolt the hour and a half I spent photographing this storm pass over Ogden. The lightning flashed about every 3 seconds but managed to conceal itself within the clouds. The two shots below are my favorites.
